| Open House at IPMS on June 6, 2009
After years of investment the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems in Dresden is now outfitted with offices of high quality, state-of-the-art laboratories and clean rooms, and worldwide unique technology equipment. After the official opening of COMEDD – Center for Organic Materials and Electronic Devices Dresden – in fall 2009 it is time to give the interested public the opportunity to become acquainted with the infrastructure and achievements of the Fraunhofer IPMS and to get in conversation with the researchers and developers. The present economical and financial situation requires solutions which economy and science can only develop and realize with united strengths and appreciation by the broad public. To intensify this dialog, the Fraunhofer IPMS together with the Fraunhofer IZFP Dresden residing in the same building organizes an Open House. Highlights of the day will be the award ceremony for Fraunhofer IPMS as »Ort im Land der Ideen« with a laudation of state minister Dr. Eva-Maria Stange and following lectures and presentations of Fraunhofer Institutes for Photonic Microsystems IPMS and for Non-Destructive Testing IZFP as well as of partner organizations from the region, the traveling exhibition in the Fraunhofer Truck on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft with education and job market »Fraunhofer in Dresden«, the inauguration of our show room with approx. 20 demonstrators as well as guided tours through our laboratories and the two clean rooms.  more
