The LEDON OLED Lighting was founded in November 2009 as a joint venture of the Zumtobel Group together with the Fraunhofer Society. Main mission of the LEDON OLED Lighting is the development and fabrication of innovative lighting modules based on organic light emitting diodes (OLED). Such OLED modules will be used in area lighting and signage applications. The target for LEDON OLED lighting is the transfer of the OLED technologies into real products. Beside OLED modules LEDON OLED lighting carry out also complete technical lighting solutions including electrical and optical integration concepts for large area solutions. LEDON OLED sees itself as an OLED module fabrication partner for luminaire designer, signage and luminaire fabrication companies for the next generation lighting technology.
