Conventional and Digital Printing Technologies, Digital Manufacturing Methods, Printed Electronics, Printed Functionalities
The Institute for Print and Media Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology (pmTUC) is a leading research institution in the matter of printed functionalities. Besides conventional printing technologies (screen, gravure, flexo, and offset printing) digital fabrication technologies (drop-on-demand Piezo Inkjet printing in laboratory and industrial scale) are used to manufacture printed functional layers.
Due to strong cooperation with research institutions and industrial partners pmTUC is a member in regional, federal and european research projects as well as industrial development collaborations. Furthermore, pmTUC allows printing and feasibility tests for common and novel inks and pastes.
