University of Technology, Economy and Culture in Leipzig Media Faculty, Chair of Materials and Materials Testing (HTWK Leipzig)

The College of Engineering, Economics and Culture in Leipzig was founded in 1992 as a university of applied sciences. She is continuing a long tradition of engineering education institutions and training facilities for librarians, booksellers and museum curators in Leipzig. With approximately 7,000 students, it is one of the largest universities in Germany.

The application and future-oriented degree programs in engineering, economics and social sciences, applied media, information and cultural science, computer science and mathematics lead to advanced academic degrees such as Bachelor and Master.

All faculties cooperate in research and development with companies in the region and therefore guarantee a practical education. With the new media faculty raises the HTWK the growing demands in the media sector and tries to combine the existing potential.

This bundling and cross-linking of the different areas in the Faculty media should enhance the visibility of the field HTWK competence media and improved synergies between media programs are created. Flexible organizational structures and the effective use of technical resources to set new standards for the quality of education.

Information, communication and media technologies form the focus of teaching and research.
