 Quality Systems Engineer (m/f)

(start as soon as possible)

The job purpose of this role is to develop and continuously improve a high performance Quality Management System. Special focus is on high level Quality Documentation like management handbook and process descriptions, on customer support and supplier development. Cooperation with all internal organizations, suppliers, customers and 3rd parties is required. Job experience in this field is expected.

Young Professionals on entry level are welcome. The role will be based in Dresden with a direct report to the Director of Quality.

Key areas of responsibilities

Installation and maintenance of Intranet-based, interactive, integrated management system, including:

Documentation (manual, process landscape and descriptions, 3rd level documents, etc.)

Review (internal audits, BSC, etc.)

3rd level audit, certification (ISO 9001, 14001,…)

Improvement programs (technical, correcting action tracking, training, problem solving techniques, etc.)

Maintain and improve document control system

Customer support, including:

Customer specification, contracts and related support duties

Quality data

Support of customer audits

Complaint handling, 8D, correcting actions and any further necessary action regarding complaint management

Supplier quality support, including:

Participate in supplier approval, rating and development process

Material specifications, quality requirements, etc.

Complaint handling, action tracking, improvement programs, supplier audits

 

Key competencies

Degree in material science or chemistry or similar science

Experienced with quality management systems based on international standards

Audit capabilities and experience

IT skills to build up intranet based, interactive management system documentation

Management and technical understanding in business processes like purchasing, process and product development, manufacturing

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to approach issues in a structured manner under pressure and with tight deadlines.

Organizational skills and continuous improvement approach

Customer orientation

Experience in of cross functional and cross site teams

Fluent in German and English
