For our manufacturing line in Dresden we are looking for a qualified Chemist with experience in the environment of organic electronics or/and semiconductor, specialized in the field of Dry etching and/or Wet etch/cleaning to support Plastic Logic’s brand new technology.
This role will require involvement in process and equipment development as well as qualifying of new products and ramping up of production.

Key areas of responsibilities
Ensure the establishment of process solutions that are highly producible, high yielding and competitive in cost of production
Support technology development incl. evaluation of new processes and materials
Responsible for dispensing processes and related sub-processes
Daily trouble shooting of process problems and driving corrective actions
Execution of material evaluations and Design of Experiment (DoE)
Monitoring (SPC) and documentation of process results
Creation of handling procedures and technology transfer documentation
Driving programs to improve tool stability, process capability, yield, cycle time and costs
Providing technical training for technicians and other engineers in the cluster

Key competencies
Degree in Chemistry
Hands-on professional experience in semiconductor industry or a related area desired (entry level is welcome)
Solid background in fields of Dry etching and/or Wet etch and cleaning is preferred
Knowledge in process control and continuous improvement
DoE and SPC experience desired, experience in data analysis and visualization S/W (Excel, Spotfire)
Forward thinking and strong communication skills
Structured problem solving methodology
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Fluent in English and German
